A coexistence of tensions

A coexistence pf tensions that cannot resolve each other.
They hold a state of suspension- between the movement and stillness. They do not lead to action, but precede it.

Współistnienie napięć, które nie mogą rozwiązać się przez siebie nawzajem. Tworzą stan zawieszenia - pomiędzy ruchem a jego brakiem. Nie prowadzą do działania, ale je poprzedzają.

The work reflects on the coexistence of psychological tensions that cannot fully resolve one another.

The dark figure remains grounded, partially submerged in a depth resembling water or unconscious matter.
Its gestures turn downward, toward what is hidden, instinctive and difficult to integrate — a space associated with the Jungian shadow and the parts of the self that resist conscious control.

In contrast, the pale figure rises upward, suspended between weight and levitation.
It suggests consciousness, self-image and the version of the self one attempts to become.

Yet neither figure can exist independently from the other.
Despite their opposing movements — one descending into psychic depth, the other reaching toward elevation — both remain connected to the same ground.

The work does not present conflict as something to overcome, but as a condition of psychic balance.
Action has not yet occurred; what emerges instead is a suspended state preceding decision, where opposing structures of the self remain in continuous negotiation.

Obraz odnosi się do współistnienia napięć psychicznych, które nie mogą zostać całkowicie rozwiązane ani wzajemnie wyeliminowane.

Czarna postać pozostaje związana z gruntem, częściowo zanurzona w głębi przypominającej wodę lub nieświadomą materię psychiczną.
Jej gest skierowany jest ku temu, co ukryte, instynktowne i trudne do pełnej integracji — ku przestrzeni jungowskiego cienia oraz tym aspektom „ja”, które wymykają się świadomej kontroli.

Jasna figura nie unosi się naprawdę — pozostaje napięta pomiędzy dążeniem do transcendencji a niemożnością opuszczenia własnych psychicznych fundamentów.

Żadna z tych figur nie może jednak istnieć niezależnie od drugiej.
Pomimo przeciwnych ruchów — jednej ku psychicznym głębinom, drugiej ku wzniesieniu — obie pozostają połączone tym samym gruntem.

Obraz nie przedstawia konfliktu jako czegoś, co należy przezwyciężyć, lecz jako warunek psychicznej równowagi.
Nie dochodzi tu jeszcze do działania; pojawia się raczej stan zawieszenia poprzedzający decyzję, w którym przeciwstawne struktury „ja” pozostają w nieustannej negocjacji.
