People steal your hands - A metaphor for the countless ways in which a woman's becoming is interrupted. From childhood, her gestures are corrected, her passions redirected, her voice softened, her hands - the very instruments of creation and autonomy - gently or violently taken away. This figure stands incomplete, raw, beautiful in its unfinished defiance. Trapped in coloured corner of other's expectations, she stretches toward herself- toward what she could have done, touched, shaped - had no one interfered.
